OXFAM Benefits of Internship and Volunteering.

Presented by Jillian Marie White

Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people who share the belief that, in a world
rich in resources, poverty isn't inevitable. In just 15 years, extreme poverty has been halved.

15 more years and we can end it for good.

If you're looking for a new challenge or a change of career, spending a few months at
Oxfam is a great way to hone your skills. We offer various placements at Oxfam
House and at our regional offices, in areas as diverse as HR, marketing, IT,
accounting and digital media, and give you the chance to work on specific
projects.

Generally our internships last anywhere from three to 12 months, for two or
three days a week - which means you can still work part-time while you're with
us. It's a great chance to learn the ins and outs of a top UK charity and
bounce your big ideas off some talented, passionate people.

Room B18 Malet, Birkbeck Campus, Bloomsbury, WC1E 7HX

Organiser

London School of Business and Management

The London School of Business and Management is a vibrant and contemporary learning community that seeks to meet the needs of all our students by offering networking opportunities and a uniquely international environment. We are proud of our diverse and vibrant student body.

We ensure that our students participate as active members of the learning community. Every semester each student group elects a Student Academic Representative (STAR) to serve on the Student Staff Consultative Forum (SSCF), to ensure effective and timely communication between students and the Institution. As part of their duties the STARs are also included as full decision-making members of our Academic Committee and Course Committees, which help shape the way the Institution runs and the courses are delivered. We encourage students to engage with their studies and provide regular feedback to allow us to monitor and enhance our course delivery.

We offer a range of valuable services to accommodate the needs of our students and to help them adjust to London’s rich and diverse way of life.
