This event will offer more than just operational insights into building successful Apprenticeship programmes as our speakers will outline some of the opportunities and challenges for Apprenticeships.
We will be fortunate to have representatives from the Local Enterprise Partnership, Specialist Training Providers as well successful organisations where apprenticeships are embedded including our host organisation, BMW. This promises to be a very informative and interesting event.

Sarah Cullimore: Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership; Sarah heads up Oxfordshire Apprenticeships with responsibility for the promotion of Apprenticeships across the County.
Debbie Gardner: Chief Executive, Qube Learning; Established in 1999, Qube Learning, based in Abingdon is a training provider specialising in Apprenticeships and Traineeships in the service sector across England. With approximately 3,500 Apprentices and 70 Trainees in-learning and work with employers in a wide range of industries sectors, including Peacocks, DHL, TC Facilitates, Avery Health Care and the NHS, Qube holds a contract with the Skills Funding Agency and is in the top 40 large provider group.
Dr Simon Farrell: Head of Apprentice and Associate Training, PT-36; BMW Simon joined the Austin Rover Group in 1985 as a sponsored engineering student and went on to complete two degrees with the company. From 2000 to 2011 Simon had a series of quality related and engineering roles in the MINI project team and factory including a 3 year period in Munich before taking his current position in which he has responsibility for BMW’s UK apprentice and associate training programmes.
Clive Shepherd: Apprenticeship Manager, Oxford University. Clive has gained substantial experience in leading on Apprenticeships at Oxford University.

Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes. Please note that the venue is about a 10 minute walk from the car parking, and guests will need to be escorted in small groups from the Visitor Centre. Please revisit this site for arrangements and timings of a possible walking tour to venue.

Thames Valley Branch is one of the largest CIPD branches in the country with over 4,300 members across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and North Hampshire.
We aim to support, inform and inspire everyone who has an interest in people management in the Thames Valley area. We offer an integrated programme of events throughout the year designed to meet the needs of our members, from students to senior practitioners, which provides opportunities for networking and continuous professional development.
