Event Details

Arrive at 18:00 for a 18:30 start.

Improving staff wellbeing at work can help boost your organisation’s productivity, reduce lost working days and improve your staff recruitment and retention.  However it’s difficult to know where to start to design and implement a wellbeing strategy that works for your company.  Where do you start?  What are your goals?

Deborah Astles designed a wellbeing strategy from scratch to implementation at Unipart; she will share tips about where to start, how to go about it, how to implement, and the benefits for Unipart’s staff – and Unipart – from a successful strategy in operation.

Our speakers:

Deborah Astles – HR Director – Unipart Group

Mark Emery – Employment Partner Freeths LLP

Deborah Astles:  Deborah has worked at Unipart since July 1991, as Head of HR and more recently as HR Director – Policy and Corporate Responsibility.

Mark Emery:  Mark is an experienced employment lawyer and a part-time employment judge.  As a lawyer he acts for business small and large, providing HR advice, legal advice on all areas of employment law, and he takes and defends employment tribunal and high court claims.  He is an experienced lecturer on all employment-law related issues.

Professional photography and video production will be taking place at the event, and these images may be used on future promotional materials for CIPD. Please note that by attending the event, you are giving your consent for your image to be used on any CIPD promotional materials.
