Event Details

The current crisis of media represents a once in a generation opportunity to transform UK communications in the public interest. Now is the time to develop a programme of radical and fundamental policy change to ensure that the UK media system can better serve citizens and build robust institutions to withstand the changing media landscape.

Now in its 18th year, the Oxford Media Convention is the leading gathering of the media industry; bringing together national and international experts from across government, industry, regulation, academia and civil society to debate the key challenges facing the media sector both now and in the future. At this year’s convention leading policy experts will debate issues including the threats of misinformation, press sustainability, media ownership models, and media freedom.

This year’s convention will take place on 18th March 2019, 9:00-18:00, at the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre in Worcester College, Oxford, OX1 2HB.

For further details please visit the Oxford Media Convention website.

Early Bird Discount – use code ‘EARLYBIRD2019’ to receive 20% off. Offer ends 6pm Friday 25th January.

Refund Policy: If you wish to cancel your ticket, please contact o.vaughan@ippr.org. Tickets cancelled before 18th February 2019 will incur an administration fee of £50.00 (Eventbrite fees cannot be refunded). Cancellations after this date will not be refunded.
