Oxfordshire County Council has commissioned the Centre for Safer Society (CFSS) to deliver a new Domestic Abuse Needs Assessment (DANA). This assessment will inform the refresh of Oxfordshire’s Domestic Abuse Strategy and help ensure that services across the county meet the needs of adult and child(ren) victim/survivors and families.

This workshop brings together partners from across the system, including statutory agencies, voluntary and community organisations, commissioned providers, and those working with marginalised groups, to share insights and shape the assessment.

Purpose of the workshop

  • Reflect on progress since the last needs assessment and current strategy.
  • Explore what is working well and where challenges remain across the four pillars of the strategy: Prevention, Provision, Pursuing, and Partnership.
  • Map pathways for victims/survivors, children, and perpetrators, and stress-test them using real-world scenarios.
  • Identify system strengths, gaps, and priorities for the next strategy.

By the end of the session, we will have a shared picture of Oxfordshire’s domestic abuse response and a set of emerging priorities to take forward.

Your contribution will directly influence the refreshed Domestic Abuse Strategy and help ensure that the system reflects the voices and needs of all communities in Oxfordshire.
