About this event
This is the "not a run club" erm run club....and this time we're going long(ish) journey to Tod.
Pathfinder Route 026 will take place on Sunday 13th September and WILL START AT 10:30AM sharp from HEBDEN BRIDGE TRAIN STATION (not moi outside).
It is the fourth of our Longer runs....Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaathfinder if you will
Approx 12km and 350m of elevation, we'll be hosting our friends from Track Brewery in Manchester, and taking them to Todmorden for a drink at The Golden Lion....but going there the long beautiful way over the moors.
Once we arrive in Tod we'll be stopping for a drink and some lunch, and the run will end there. You can get the bus or train back to Hebden, or even extend your run back down the canal.
This route is incredible, one of our favourite yet and very runable.
If you've ever wanted to explore the amazing trails we have on our doorstep, or are looking for an opportunity to meet new like-minded people then Pathfinder is for you.
It's a regular, informal, meeting facilitated by friends of moi outside (rip) to encourage people to find the joy in trail running in a socially paced group, with the opportunity to walk and talk up the really steep bits.
Please reserve a space here if you plan to join.
We also require runners to bring layer or jacket. Bringing some water and a snack is advisable as we're going longer than usual and re-supply is sort of non-exsistent once you're on the route.
Routes will change each time and be shared in advance. New paths to find, and old ones to connect.
Route for 026 can be found here. Please download it to your phone or watch.
Please familiarise yourself with the route prior to the run.....this is roughly double this distance of a usual Pathfinder run.
Eyes peeled and have some fun.
Frequently asked questions
To make sure everyone is safe and has a fun experience we're limiting numbers for the first few runs. If you don't have a 'ticket' we'll ask you to join the next one instead. Long term we hope to make sure whoever wants to join can.
We'll require all runners to bring a spare layer, and ideally a Weatherproof Jacket (we live in the Calder Valley ...weather is not always our friend), and appropriate running shoes (we'll be running some sections off road).
There's only really one way to find out, but we'll make sure the runs are socially paced and fun. No one left behind, the opportunity to walk and talk up the really steep bits...and most importantly a desire to have fun, and meet new people is at the core of Pathfinder.
This is an informal group activity. We will plan (and share) the route ahead of time and there will be specific people in the group to help pace and that you can ask questions to, but we'll expect everyone to have familiarised themselves with the route ahead of time and to bring the required kit.
Nah. We're blessed with some of the most famous and welcoming running clubs in the country here in the valley. This is just a bit of fun because we like running, we love the valley, and we think it's nice to meet new people.
