Here you can express interest in a place at the London Workshop to be held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge on 13 May 2024 where we will share up-to-date thinking on local authority payments, including detail on how we will calculate year 1 EPR payments and how the Scheme Administrator will assess eficiency and effectiveness and implement improvement actions.
This event is restricted to officers working in waste services at an English local authority. There will be opportunities for others to engage later in May and into June, including the waste industry and local authorities in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Due to venue restrictions, places are limited to one officer per local authority in the first instance. Additional places will be released if not fully booked.
An identical event is taking place in Manchester on 22 May. The event will start with an opening presentation from Defra, followed by three parallel workshops that will be repeated enabling you to attend all three:
- Calculating year 1 packaging EPR payments
- Metrics and assessments for efficiency and effectivnesss
- The Improvement Actions process

Space is limited and we will endeavour to accept as many requests as possible and will confirm your space via email by cop 6th May.
