Padding Around Oakwell Hall
Sat 8 April 2017, 10:30 – 12:30 BST
Kick off your shoes and socks and celebrate the return of warmer weather with a delightful barefoot stroll around Oakwell Hall Country Park. We'll be taking you round a safe, well trodden, barefoot-friendly route designed to tickle your senses and get you feeling the earth under your feet - covering soft grassy fields, woodland trails, formal gardens and of course, lots and lots of mud.
If you're a seasoned barefoot walker then you'll know why we love outdoor mud-splashing and you're probably already counting down the days to this first walk of our season. If you've never tried it before then this is an ideal opportunity to join us and experience what we're all raving about!
We're running this as a Pay As You Feel event (suggested donation in the region of £5) with all proceeds going to support September's Dales Way charity barefoot walk in aid of the Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service, so every penny is going to a great cause.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This event is open to anyone aged 16+
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is plenty of free car parking close to the event, which is also easily accessible via public transport. Full details will be provided with your joining instructions.
What can I bring into the event?
Warm clothes and a towel to dry your feet off after the walk but we'll have wet wipes and paper towels available if you want to put your shoes on at any time. Well give you more details with your joining instructions.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or message us via our facebook page. We will also provide contact telephone numbers with the instructions that we send out after your booking has been confirmed.
What's the refund policy?
We will refund tickets if the event is cancelled. Given that we will be outdoors at the start of April there is a small risk that snow or frost may force us to reschedule. If this happens we will run this event as a normal guided nature walk and offer another barefoot walk at the same venue later on in the summer.
Can I update my registration information?
You can indeed, just email us at email@example.com with your updates.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes and no. If you want to pass the ticket onto someone else you can do this, however after booking we will be sending you some forms to fill in (nothing arduous, honest) and it is essential that the person who attends is the same person who is referred to in the forms. If you want to give your ticket away after you've sent us your details you will need to let us know well before the event so that we can get the paperwork sorted.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
See previous question! We need to make sure that the person who is attending is the same person who is referenced in the sign-up forms and has permission from the person who bought the ticket to use it on their behalf. If you're worried about anything then let us know and we'll sort it out for you.
