The Dockyard is a working Royal Naval Establishment, with a strong security presence. The PSPS has been asked to provide a list of names of those attending the AGM two weeks prior to the meeting - hence the need to close this booking procedure on Thursday 9 October.
On the day there will be bag searches taking place at the Dockyard entrance. Please bring with a form of photographic identification (eg your driving licence, senior bus pass, passport etc ). Members of the Wessex and Dart branch committee will be at the reception area in case of any problem.
The Princess Royal Gallery is close to HMS Victory. After entering the Dockyard keep walking staight ahead , passing several buildings and the Gallery is on the left , above the tourist shop. Access is by stairs or by lift.
After the formal meeting, tea and biscuits will be available, followed with a talk by guest speaker, Henry Cleary, a Trustee of the Maritime Heritage Trust and a member of the Panel of Experts at National Historic ships UK. Henry was instrumental in saving the steam 'puffer' VIC56. This charming vessel is likely to be berthed next to HMS Warrior, so can be admired on entry to the Dockyard.
