Paediatric First Aid: 17th February (part 2 of blended learning course)

Course Description

Our 12 hours Paediatric First Aid course is specially designed for childcare workers such as childminders and nursery practitioners who need to register with Ofsted. The course is blended learning - a combination of practical classroom and online e-learning consisting of the following:

• Part 1: 6 hours of online video based learning covering essential first aid and health & safety knowledge accessed via a website
• Part 2: 6 hours (minimum) of classroom training dealing with emergency life-saving skills such as resuscitation and anaphylactic shock.

Our experienced and qualified trainer is approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the course meets Ofsted requirements.

Delivery methods include practical ‘hands on’ demonstrations, DVDs, booklet/handouts and oral questioning. Learners receive a nationally recognised certificate valid for 3 years and resources, including practical videos, are available online for you to access up to 8 months after the course.

Part 1, the e-learning programme, is delivered online at your own convenience. Part 2 classroom learning is delivered at our training centre in Nottingham (less than 5 minutes from Shipstones Street tram stop in New Basford).

We provide unlimited refreshments in the form of beverages and nibbles. Free parking in our secure car park is also available.

Cost

£80 includes VAT for the full 12 hour blended learning course.

Once you have paid to secure the course, we will email you a link to Part 1 - the e-learning session 10 days before part 2 is due to start.

Cancellations Policy

Notice period for cancellation is 10 days for a full refund. Cancellations outside of this period is classed as short notice and is non-refundable. A place on the next course is at the discretion of @Home Childcare.
