About this event

Health • Medical

This 2-hour course is designed to equip parents and family members with essential first aid skills for children and infants.

ALL of the money collected from ticket sales will be donated to Mothers Matter; a local charity in Rhondda Cynon Taf who offer pre- and post-natal mental health support to families who are dealing with challenges in their varied journeys through parenthood.

The course will provide an overview of the following topics, with hands-on practice included - or you can just observe, if you prefer:

* First Aid Kits

* Dealing with an Emergency

* Primary Survey

* CPR

* Choking

* Wounds & Bleeding

* Other injuries, including burns

Frequently asked questions

I can't find a babysitter! Can I bring my baby with me?

Yes! You're more than welcome to bring infants, and we won't make any fuss if your little one gets grumpy or needs to feed.

Can I bring a partner / friend / relative?

Absolutely; please make sure you book one ticket each.

I'd love to attend but something is making me anxious. What should I expect?

We pride ourselves on our relaxed and empathetic approach. There's an anonymous pre-course survey where you can let us know of any specific concerns, but Kim will never single anybody out or make you talk in front of the group if you don't want to! You can get up and move around the room freely, too
