Paediatric First Aid - One Day Blended Course with E-Learning

Course length: 12 Hours total
In order to maintain social distancing this event is limited to 12 delegates.
You must maintain social distancing throughout the course and all delegates MUST wear a face covering, you MUST bring a face covering with you, we also advise you bring your own hand sanitiser and regularly wash your hands throughout the course.

This innovative course blends one day of In-House practical training with 6hrs of E-Learning. We use the latest training techniques to maximise recall and provide learners with the skills, knowledge and confidence to act effectively when paediatric emergencies arise.
Stage 1. One-Day Practical Training: This takes place at the venue. Stage 2 6hrs Interactive E-Learning: This stage is completed via any internet device, at any location.
Stage 1: One-Day of Tutor-led practical training at your setting, covering: Planning for Emergencies / The Primary Assessment / Resuscitation CPR / Recovery / Choking / Seizures / Meningitis / Asthma / Allergies / Shock / Bleeds & Minor injuries / Burns / Fractures / Head injuries / Spinal injuries
Stage 2: E-Learning - Learners access their interactive E-Learning via our website and study the following: Recap of the Practical Training Day that took place at your setting / Croup / Sickle Cell / Diabetes / Poisons / Bites and Stings / Electrical Shocks / Drowning / Extreme Temperatures / Final Assessment.
It is a requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) that at least one person who has a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate must be on the premises at all times when children are present, and must accompany children on outings.
This courser covers the course content as for St Johns Ambulance / Red Cross paediatric first aid and therefore meets the requirements of the EYFS.
