About this event
The paediatric nephro-urology course is a primarily virtual module. It consists of four core learning blocks with two additional optional learning blocks.
The focus of this course is to deepen the students understanding of the pathology and pathophysiology of childhood nephro- urological conditions. Current treatment modalities and their implications in practice will be explored.
Students will further develop their clinical skills within the field of nephro- urology, and will be supported to critically analyse current research to assess and manage these patients.
Through an interactive and vibrant learning environment, students will explore the psychosocial impacts of children and their families living with a nephro-urological condition.
Target audience and entry criteria
This module is aimed towards nurses wishing to further develop their nephrology and urology skills. Learners must currently work in an area that cares for Paediatric nephro- urological patients.
Programme
There are 6 learning blocks attached to this module, 4 of which all students must engage with. Blocks 5 and 6 are optional as not all learners may work in an area that provides dialysis - this will need to be discussed with the course leader prior to the start of the course.
Each block will include two virtual ‘Live’ days where the learner will delve further into their learning:
