Title: Acute Kidney Injury in Children
Tuesday 9th September 1-2pm
Speaker: Dr Sarah Roy
This webinar will explore the recognition, assessment, and management of acute kidney injury (AKI) in the paediatric population. We'll cover the latest diagnostic criteria, risk stratification approaches, and evidence-based treatment strategies. Key topics will include early identification of AKI in different clinical settings, fluid management principles, when to consider renal replacement therapy, and prevention of progression to chronic kidney disease. The session will also address common causes of AKI in children, from prerenal causes to intrinsic kidney disease, and discuss practical approaches to monitoring and follow-up care.
As usual there will be an opportunity to have an interactive discussion with the speaker and other delegates. Bring along any questions and scenarios you have encountered!
Webinars will take place on the second Tuesday of each month from 13.00-14.00hrs GMT.
