The module is designed to meet the standards of a 20 credit degree or masters level module.
Module aims are to facilitate the personal and professional development of the registered nurse or health care professional within the speciality of paediatric oncology and haematology.
Learning outcomes include developing an analytical and critical approach to the concepts and evidence based practice within paediatric oncology nursing.
The intention is that successful completion of your studies will enhance your ability to safely and competently care infants, children and young people with a wide range of health issues requiring a high level of oncology care.

Course Fees
£600 for module, and an additional fee directly to the University of Southampton if you want to gain academic credits
Booking
Please email the course deliverers for more information before booking onto this course. Once you have booked on you will be emailed a link for an application form to the Univeristy of Southampton to gain credits for this module. Please state if you wish to gain these academic credits at level 6 or 7 and complete the forms ideally a month before the start date to ensure access to university systems is not delayed. If you are doing both modules 1 and 2 there is a discounted price for completing both modules and only one form will need to be submitted.
If you wish to complete this module unaccredited please respond informing us of such, the asignment will still need to be completed however.
Prior requirements
Must have attended a paediatric oncology foundation day and completed Paediatric oncology course module 1, fundamentals of care. Ideally be chemo competant and have attended the oncology advanced day too.
2026 Study day dates
20th and 21st May and 3rd, 4th, 17th and 18th June 2026
(The first day will be face to face, with the rest via teams.)
