From the Trainer
Hi, I’m Annette Bradley, and after over 40 years in the NHS (yes, I started when we used calculations written on a tongue depressor to regulate IV drips!) I’ve seen just about everything — from the snuffly baby with a cold to the child who just doesn’t look right.
This hybrid course was born from years of real-world experience in urgent care and general practice — where the presentations are rarely textbook, the time is tight, and the stakes feel high. In collaboration with Dr. Priscilla Norgren, GP, the self-learning part of the course is easy to follow and packed with information.
This isn’t just another “minor illness” course. We’ll cover the common stuff, of course — but more importantly, we’ll talk about what to watch out for, when to worry, and how to make safe, confident decisions when you’re not quite sure.
Who Should Attend
Designed for practice nurses, ANPs, pharmacists, urgent care clinicians, and anyone else who sees children in a frontline setting, the course blends flexible online learning with interactive, practical sessions — all delivered in plain language, with a touch of humour and plenty of clinical pearls.
If you’ve ever thought, “Is this just a virus, or something more?” — this course is for you. The course combines the flexibility of self-paced learning with the support of online sessions. Perfect if you want the freedom to study on your own but would benefit from live online learning.
