Welcome the Darker Half of the Year with the Writers Workshop!
In the pagan Wheel of the Year of celebrations, Samhain (pronounced 'Sown' to rhyme with 'gown') holds special significance as the start of a new year.
Join nature writer Coco Lone Neal for a special celebration using creative-writing prompts to reflect on our personal relationship with this time of the year, when the nights are drawing in, and find the points of light that still shine in the darker half of the year.
The session will take place in the beautiful and atmospheric Samuel Worth Chapel, located in Sheffield's General Cemetery.
Please note:
- It will be getting dark during the session. The main pathways leading from the chapel are lit but you may want to bring a torch!
- It can be a bit chilly in the chapel, so please wear warm clothing.
- Hot drinks and other refreshments will be available to purchase.
- Tickets are non-refundable but can be privately resold/transferred to another person (who must provide the original booker's name at the door).
- The chapel has step-free access.
