Topic of the event:
Dr Humble will be discussing pain management medicine and his approaches to pain management, followed by a Q&A session including any cases that GPs may wish to discuss.
Ms Tina Amiss will be discussing the holistic management of persistent pain. Ms Amiss will descibe the pain management programme H.E.L.P. (Holistic Empowering Lifestyle Programme). Which is a programme for individuals whose lives have been controlled by ongoing persistent pain. It aims to improve quality of life enabling the individual, through empowerment, to live and cope with their pain.

About the speakers:
Dr Stephen Humble- Consultant in Aesthetics, Anaesthetics & Pain Medicine - MBChB, MSc, PhD, FCARCSI
Dr Stephen Humble is a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine at Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust London, as well as holding his private clinic here at BMI Syon. His specialist interests include the management of neuropathic pain, as well as local anaesthetic and steroid injections for joint and spinal pain.
Dr Humble has published numerous medical and scientific papers in high-level journals and through his research, has adopted modern techniques such as radiofrequency therapy for spinal pain and nerve entrapment syndromes, as well as capsaicin patch therapy for painful peripheral neuropathy.

Ms Tina Amiss- Physiotherapist
Ms Tina Amiss is a musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapist with a special interest in the holistic management of persistent pain. Also in the treatment of vestibular disorders / the dizzy patient.

The clinic offers an array of services including Travel Clinic, Private GP Service, Physiotherapy, Diagnostics (including MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound) and more.
Syon Clinic has first class diagnostic imaging facilities, including a Siemens 128 FLASH CT, meaning patients will receive a fraction of the radiation dose usually required to scan parts of the body at a faster speed. This CT scanner can perform a scan of the entire heart in just 250 milliseconds, less than half a heart beat. The first class diagnostic imaging facilities at Syon Clinic also include X-Ray, Ultrasound and MRI scanning.
