Description

In line with his architectural design exhibition in the Glass Tank at Oxford Brookes University, Professor Pan Gongkai will discuss the influence of painterly abstraction and traditional Chinese painting in modern architecture. The seminar will be followed by a Q & A and a drinks reception in the Glass Tank at 19.00 to celebrate the opening of his exhibition.

About the speaker: A renowned Chinese artist, architect and educator, Professor Pan Gongkai has made an invaluable contribution to Chinese modern and contemporary art within an international context. Professor Pan possesses an in-depth enthusiasm for architecture design and is one the founders that propelled the establishment of  the School of Architecture at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing during his tenure as President there
