Experienced tutor Jo Sheppard will teach you a variety of styles and techniques in this 8-week class, which is suitable for beginners and those with more art experience. Topics covered will include drawing from observation, lino printing and working in a variety of wet and dry media.
All materials are included.
This course will run from 6.30-9pm every Tuesday from 9 October to 27 November 2025.
The classes will take place in MHL0.13 in Martin Hall.
Please note that this class is not open to under 16s.

About the tutor
Following an Art and Design Foundation in North Lincolnshire, Jo undertook a Degree in Fine Art at Coventry University, graduating in 1991. She trained to become a teacher of art in 1996 and taught in secondary schools until 2002, before taking the plunge to work as a professional artist. Alongside her own studio practice painting she continues to teach adults, run workshops in schools and work as a participatory artist with mental health service users.
Jo exhibits frequently in group shows and as a solo artist. She is an active member of the Loughborough based art group ArtSpace and the Leicestershire Society of Artists.
Parking
Students, staff and visitors are required to register their vehicle and pay to park on campus. There is a flat evening rate of £1 after 6pm. You have 30 minutes from arrival in which to complete the registration process.

Accessibility
The room is on the ground floor of Martin Hall and there is step-free access into the building. An accessible toilet is located along the ground floor corridor.

Cancellation and Refunds
We will issue refunds for cancellations (minus Eventbrite fees) up to seven days prior to the first class, but no refunds will subsequently be issued unless a class is cancelled and cannot be re-arranged.
