Painting Summer School 2024 - Oil Painting / Land & Seascapes

Join Sandra, Art Educator & owner of the Bowery and learn the basics of Painting.These four day intensive short courses will set you up so you can continue your new hobby at home with a new found confidence.

Day 1 - We will start by creating simple expressive seascape paintings to get a feel for the medium and to understand various painting techniques, colour mixing and depth of field.

Day 2 - From here, we will move onto Landscapes creating a bit more detail and perspective in our paintings.

Day 3/4 - You will fetch your own photograph and Sandra will be on hand to help you transfer the image into paint. There will be lots of images provided of local sea/landscapes in the latter sessions in case you want to use one of those for your final piece.

Oil Paper will be provided throughout the week, but if you want to fetch in a Canvas for days 3-4 (approx A3 in size) please feel free to do so.

All paint & materials and paper are provided.

The class will take a 30 mins for lunch break each day, 12.-12.30pm you can carry on painting if you wish, take advantage of our 10% discount off food and drink from the cafe or bring in a packed lunch. (juice, water & biscuits provided)

CANCELLATION POLICY

We are able to provide credit / transfer onto another course or workshop if there is two or more weeks’ notice.

Within a two-week period, under no circumstances can we transfer you onto another event. We have incurred material costs & committed numbers to the tutor.
