'Painting the life on the River Thames between Hungerford & Waterloo Bridge...
Event Information
Description
From the buses traversing the bridges, to the constant river traffic and the streams of people walking along the Embankment, the river here is a hive of activity. We will aim to capture this energy in paint.
Meet at the Malls Learning Centre at 10.30am, then we will make the short walk down Northumberland Avenue to the river. The morning session will used to make compositional drawings and small sketches in your preferred medium, and then these can be used to inform paintings which weather permitting can be completed outdoors in the afternoon session. If the weather is unsuitable we can return to the Learning Centre. The day will finish with a plenary session.
Please wear warm clothing as the riverbank can be cold in spring, and bring a packed lunch.
