Welcome to the Palliative Care, End of Life, Bereavement and Life After Caring event at the Alzheimer Scotland Fife Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre.

Caring for a a person with dementia involves many challenges, especially as the condition progresses towards the later stages. This session provides guidance and support for carers on key topics related to end-of-life care and bereavement.

✔️ End-of-Life Care – Recognising the signs, making informed decisions, and ensuring dignity in the final stages.

Can you bring the person with dementia that you care for?

You are welcome to bring the person with dementia that you care for. A separate room will be available where Alzheimer Scotland staff will provide engaging activities. When you register for a place, you will be asked whether you plan to bring them along so we can make the necessary arrangements.

The Dementia Carers Education Programme has been developed through a partnership project of NHS Fife, Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, Alzheimer Scotland, Fife Carers Centre and STAND. The programme is open to all unpaid carers who care for someone living with dementia. All sessions are optional, and you are welcome to attend more than once as your needs as a carer change. The aim of the programme is educational, to support you to gain practical knowledge and skills, learning from skilled health and social care professionals, as well as connecting with other carers.
