Bogdan Gheoca is a Data Engineer with over 20 years experience in the IT industry and 15 in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. Bogdan is currently working at Engie, a large B2B energy company on various data projects. In his spare time, he likes to exercise and explore new places when time permits.
Amy has been working within Technology as a Product Manager for over 10 years. Studying Media and Marketing at Northampton University, she went on to working for a local Newspaper in her home town of Watford as a Typesetter. From there she moved to product managing game development for the National Lottery working on Online Instant Win Games and scratchcards. Currently working for Taylor & Francis on their Digital Products, Amy is passionate about books and music and is a regular member of her local Brass Band playing Tenor Horn and Baritone.
Dr Andreea Scacioc is a bioinformatics and protein engineer expert with two decades of experience, both in academia and industry. Originally from Romania, she lived and worked in five countries including Germany, France, Sweden and the UK. Her academic career included the most prestigious institutes of their respective countries: Max Planck Institute (Germany), Karolinka Institute (Sweden), CNRS (France) and University of Oxford (UK). Andreea is currently leading the Bioinformatics team at Abcam.
Mona Jaber is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Internet of Things (IoT) with the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London. Her research interests include zero-touch networks, the intersection of machine learning and IoT in the context of sustainable development goals, and IoT- driven digital twins. She secured the prestigious IEEE New Investigator Award for a project titled: Distributed Acoustic Sensor system for Modelling Active Travel in which she investigates machine learning methods for processing optical fibre signals that represent active travel. She is the founder and director of the Digital Twins for Sustainable Development Goals (DT4SDG) research laboratory at QMUL. Mona is the secretary of the IEEE UK and Ireland Section and of the IEEE UK and Ireland Intelligent Transportation Systems Society chapter.
