🌏 About the Event
As part of ESEA Heritage Month, EAST2046 and HOMELandS (University of Westminster) present a focused panel exploring how East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) diasporic heritage is created, lived, and renewed in public spaces—from community centres and studios to high streets, takeaways, and night-time venues.
We centre arts as living practice—including performance, repair, and care—and ask how these everyday sites can become cultural infrastructure for a future-facing generation.
🎯 Aims
- Co-create 3–5 practical principles for future-facing public heritage
- Foster inter-community dialogue across generations, disciplines, and geographies
- Explore how arts, technology, and community organising can support inclusive and sustainable cultural infrastructure
- Reflect on diverse models of governance and participation shaping ESEA diasporic heritage
