Description

Artists of different disciplines will share their creative journeys, from initial ideas to fully formed art work and everything in between.

Our panel of artists will discuss where they look for inspirations, how they develop and maintain creative practice and the challenges they face when creating their work.

Our panel will also share tips on the day-to-day business of successfully maintaining a career in the creative arts.

Moderator: Ian Fenton (Creative Director, Learning & Participation, Tyneside Cinema)

Participants:

Annie Rigby (Theatre director. She founded Unfolding Theatre in 2008. She has directed many of the company’s award-winning productions, including Putting The Band Back Together (Performance of the Year 2017, Journal Culture Awards), Lands of Glass (Title Pending Award for New Theatre), Best in the World (Best Emerging Company Finalist, Total Theatre Awards), What If(Engaging Young People Award 2014, National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement) and Building Palaces (Performance of the Year 2010, Journal Culture Awards)

Solomon O.B. (Artist, Poet, Musician & Frontman of Sounds of Harlowe UK Slam Champion 2016 Hammer & Tongue)

Simon Mckeown (Award winning internationally exhibiting artist renowned for his work which touches on and considers disability as well as our digital futures)
