About this event

Across the food industry we are seeing a return to the past - whether that be in farming or cooking. In the face of a challenging political landscape, it seems that consumers are craving a return to simpler times, when cooking and farming were slow, intentional and in harmony with nature.

Yet 2025 isn't just about looking back. With growing concerns about human health and the environment, and a realisation that in the name of 'progress' we brought about many of these issues ourselves, consumers are also looking to modern technology for solutions.

Following on from our panel discussion on the 2nd October that is focused on all the ways in which we are revisiting the past in order to tackle the future, we invite a panel of guests to examine immerging technologies that work with nature, rather than against.

From sustainable livestock and hydroponics to seaweed-based packaging and lab-grown alternatives, the discussion will unpack how innovation is shaping a more resilient, regenerative food future.

(Potential) panellists include British doctor, writer and broadcaster, Dr Chris van Tulleken, representatives from urban hydroponic farming initiative Crate to Plate and Ivy Farm & WinWin, who specialise in lab-grown meat and chocolate respectively.

Ticket includes welcome drink, 3 canapes and a night of scintillating conversation.

If you need to cancel, we can only offer you a refund if you cancel within 3 days of the date your ticket is booked for.

Our Food & Drink Studio events are frequently photographed and filmed for use across our channels. Footage is likely to include individuals within the background or audience. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify a member of staff.
