Paper Plate Lithography

The lithographic printing process relies on the basis that oil and water resist each other, and traditionally designs would be prepared on stone or metal plates. Using basic toner-based photocopies or print outs you can use a similar approach to quickly play around with this versatile image making technique.You will be introduced to fast, exciting ways of reproducing and manipulating imagery using layers of colour to create a series of works on paper. No prior experience necessary, and all materials will be provided.Your tutor Ralph is the etching technician for Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art, is highly skilled in a broad range of print processes and has a wealth of teaching experience.All levels of experience welcome. Ages 16+.
