Try your hand at upcycling an old lampshade as part of the Fitzrovia Festival of Furniture.
In this one off workshop one of Paperchase’s expert crafters will teach you how to transform an old lampshade into a masterpiece using a variety of upcycling techniques. Use a selection of materials including unique handmade papers, ribbons and embellishments to turn your lampshade from drab to fabulous. We know that everyone is different so you will be able to choose materials that fit into your colour scheme, whether you prefer bold prints or minimalist glamour.
Bring an old lampshade (drum, round or square) with you to the workshop - otherwise some will be available for purchase on the night.
About the Festival of Furniture
This autumn from October 6 – 9, The Fitzrovia Partnership is bringing the inaugural Festival of Furniture to the West End celebrating the originality, creativity and longevity of design. For the first time, independent creatives and high street powerhouses are coming together to honour the pivotal role furniture plays in our lives. Exclusive district-wide discounts will be accompanied by events, guest appearances and bespoke workshops that will see the Fitzrovia come to life as a design hub.
Please Note: Children aged 12 and upwards may attend at the discretion of the parent. All under 16’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Workshop tickets and vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. This does not affect your statutory rights. In the unlikely event that Paperchase cancels an event, they will contact you via Eventbrite to arrange an alternative date or refund. Paperchase reserves the right to refuse entry and is at the decision of the store manager.
