Papercraft Christmas Decorations
Tue 13 December 2016, 18:30 – 21:30 GMT
Join us for the evening learning to make your own unique handmade and delicate Christmas decorations. During the workshop Karolina will teach how to create a traditional Polish straw & paper Christmas chains and pompoms inspired by elements of Pajaki, Polish decorative chandeliers.
The process of creating hand made decorations from delicate materials such as paper and straw causes the maker to slow down and be very present in the process. This is a contemplative and focused craft, to ground and settle your mind. You will learn a number of techniques and take home some gorgeous and tasteful decorations to embellish your home this Christmas.
Karolina Merska, is a Pajaki chandelier maker. She is reviving this traditional craft from her homeland of Poland. Based in London, she creates colourful, decorative and contemporary chandeliers that spread happiness and enjoyment.
