Organiser Battersea Power Station | par-avion co. | Claire Potter Design

Organiser of par-avion co. x Dovedale Design Studio Press Preview Brunch

Battersea Power Station is an iconic Grade II listed regeneration project which is being thoughtfully brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed use neighbourhoods in the world – a place for locals, tourists and residents to enjoy a unique blend of restaurants, shops, parks and cultural spaces.

Monica Cass is a partner and lead instigator at eco-conscious furniture design business par-avion co. in the East of England, which specialises in handcrafted products using traditional techniques. The primary focus of her company’s designs is to provide a truly sustainable and low-impact end product that doesn’t sacrifice design or quality. Monica assures her company is maintaining its environmental credentials by adapting a design to use local materials and local, culturally-evolved skills, which cut down on carbon footprint and respond directly to the immediate ecosystem. Her designs and finished products reflect a handmade quality that is unique to each piece, while being sensitive to the environment and surrounding landscape.

Claire Potter is the principal at an award-winning sustainable, circular economy design studio based in Brighton, UK. Together with a small team she works to highlight global issues through her designs, ultimately helping her clients create measurable change: from saving tonnes of CO2, positively changing the behaviour of thousands of people across a city, to creating monetary and social value from a waste material. By thinking locally and working globally, Claire has made a substantial impact on “environmental design.”
