Event description

Description

Join us at Milton's Cottage for a marathon reading of Paradise Lost - to celebrate the 350th anniversary of its publication.

Presented by an eclectic cast of 350 - from actors to accountants, shop-keepers to schoolchildren - Paradise Lost for 350 Voices is an opportunity to experience Milton's epic masterpiece in the place where it was completed. It will take place 350 years to the day when Milton’s publisher, Samuel Simmons, registered the copyright for Paradise Lost with Stationers’ Hall.

Milton's Cottage is the only surviving residence of the visionary poet and parliamentarian, John Milton. It has been open as a writer's house museum since 1887.
