About this event

Join us at Paradise Cooperative for a special afternoon marking the autumn equinox – a moment of balance, reflection, and seasonal change.

Together we’ll celebrate this turning of the year with a mix of creative, mindful, and community-led activities, including:✨ Crafting simple looms and trying out ancient weaving techniques✨ Building a shared mandala from natural materials✨ Guided mindfulness activities to explore balance and letting go✨ A short fireside “releasing” ritual, offering space to reflect on what we need to release and what we want to welcome in

We’ll also share seasonal snacks and tea, with plenty of time to connect with others and enjoy the garden’s autumn atmosphere.

This is an event for slowing down, coming together, and celebrating our community’s deep connection to the land. All ages welcome. No prior experience needed, just curiosity and an open heart.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Yes, you must register attendance for yourself and any others you are bringing, so we can plan accordingly and ensure we have enough materials and food for everyone!

Is this event suitable for children?

Absolutely! This is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to join the activities. All under-18s must be supervised by an adult or guardian.

Can I bring my dog?

While we love dogs, we only allow guide-dogs on site as we are working to enhance the biodiversity of our small community garden.

Will food options cater to dietary needs?

We will offer vegetarian snacks. When you check out, you will be asked to inform us of any dietary or allergen needs.

Do I need to bring anything?

Feel free to bring a reusable cup (for tea) and/or dish for food, though we will have some available. We’ll provide all tools and materials for the workshop. Just bring yourself and weather-appropriate clothing, as we’ll be outdoors.

What happens if it rains?

We’ll proceed as planned, with shelter available for activities and food. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
