About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • UNDER 18 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

Join us for a summer afternoon in the garden as part of our Paradise Together series: a family-friendly event celebrating biodiversity and the beauty of pollinators.

We’ll be taking part in the UK-wide Big Butterfly Count, contributing valuable data to help protect butterflies and understand how climate change is affecting our wildlife. Together, we’ll learn how to spot and record different butterfly species and discover why these beautiful insects are so important for healthy ecosystems.

Alongside butterfly counting, we’ll have:

  • Pond dipping — always a favourite with young visitors!
  • Pollinator monitoring and wildflower surveys
  • Fun activities to explore how pollinators support life in the garden

This event is open to all ages: families, individuals, and curious minds of all kinds. No prior knowledge needed, just bring your enthusiasm!

When: Sunday, 27th July, 1.30pm–3.30pmWhere: Paradise Cooperative Garden, Wandsworth - for more information on how to find us, click here. Cost: Free

Come and help us take the pulse of nature. Your observations will support real conservation science, and you’ll learn how to spot some of the UK’s most beautiful insects along the way.
