1.1 INTRODUCTION Psychic Fiona's Paranormal Adventures is a commercial organisation for people from all walks of life – to engage in real investigations at alleged haunted venues. Our core team of investigators are all experienced. We employ a scientific and evidenced informed approach to investigation and we are all interested in history, folklore and parapsychology. Some of us are interested in psychical research. Our work is enhanced on location with input from our own Spiritualist Medium, Fiona Stewart Williams and we also make use of spiritual experiments as we try to present a balanced view between unexplained activity and those with a logical explanation. Most of our work is focused on private investigation in places of work or historical buildings. Investigations are open to believers and sceptics alike – we don't differentiate! When working, we use a range of equipment and experiments. Nothing is set up in advance – what you see is what you get. We can't guarantee paranormal activity, but we do try to assure that you'll have a great time! We operate within our own professional code of conduct – operating terms and conditions – and we have full public liability insurance.

1.2 PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE Psychic Fiona's Paranormal Adventures operate with full public liability insurance to a maximum value of £5 million.

1.3 TERMS AND CONDITIONS We protect ourselves and our clients / venues by operating under strict terms and conditions. These are made clear on our website bit.ly/2ANqcpE We provide a clear briefing to any guests at the start of the investigation - they must declare their understanding of these terms and conditions and sign an agreement to adhere to them.

1. Ticket holders must be over 18 years of age. Proof of age may be required should you appear to be under the age of 18 years. Anyone unable to prove their age may be refused entry; in such circumstances no refunds will be made. In some circumstances anyone aged 17 years old may be admitted with parental consent and supervision.

2. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or other substances will not be permitted to enter or to remain on site and will be asked to leave the premises immediately, in such circumstances no refund will be made.

3. You are required to act in a sensible manner throughout the event and not cause harm or damage to other attendees, representatives or the fabric of any part of the venue. Anyone failing to do so will be asked to leave immediately, in such circumstances no refund will be made.

6. Where any event or activity due to take place wholly or partially in the open air is affected by weather conditions which make that part of the event or activity dangerous or presents an unacceptable level of risk of harm to either tickets holders or our representatives then we reserve the right to alter or substitute that part of the programme without notice.

7. Paranormal investigations are conducted by Psychic Fiona's Paranormal Adventures and no responsibility for any emotional, physical or other upset brought on as a result of participating in the event is accepted.

8. We reserve the right to change, add, or amend to these terms and conditions at any time. We also reserve the right to change, add and amend any part of the event at any time without notice.

1.4 DISCLAIMER You agree that paranormal events operated by Psychic Fiona's Paranormal Adventures are classed as alternative entertainment and are solely for public entertainment purposes only. We make no guarantee regarding the validity of the supposed paranormal activity associated with our locations or information, obtained from any of our sensitives, psychics, mediums, investigators or volunteers. No perceived opinions, information, advice or comments made by any of our volunteers, guests, employees, sensitives, psychics or mediums should be interpreted as factual or actual. Although we attempt to create atmosphere, Psychic Fiona's Paranormal Adventures does not set up any tricks in advance nor do we create false experiences. We are a legitimate spiritual research and investigation organisation and we act with honesty and integrity. We ask that our guests behave in the same way. Anyone caught faking paranormal activity will be asked to leave.

1.5 METHODOLOGY Approaching paranormal phenomena from a research perspective is often difficult because even when the phenomena are seen as real they may be difficult to explain using existing rules or theory. By definition, paranormal phenomena exist outside of conventional norms. Sceptics contend that they don't exist at all. Despite this challenge, studies on the paranormal are periodically conducted by researchers from various disciplines. Some researchers study just the beliefs in paranormal phenomena regardless of whether the phenomena actually exist. Psychic Fiona's Paranormal Adventures make a point of utilising elements of varying approaches to better gain an understanding of the overall picture. • Anecdotal • Experimental • Debunking/Disproving

1.6 PEDAGOGY A typical investigation will last from between 4 to 6 hours, but can vary depending on the location. Each investigation begins and ends with a briefing. This is an illustrative overview of a typical event:

1.7 EQUIPMENT We use a variety of equipment. Unless stated otherwise, all our work is conducted in the dark - any powered devices are generally battery operated.

1.8 PROTECTION OF VULNERABLE PEOPLE Operating under our terms and conditions, we do our best to protect everyone. It is not an essential requirement for our team members to have any disclosure. We do not work with anyone under the age of 18 years. We operate to include Equality and Diversity best practice.

1.9 HEALTH AND SAFETY During the initial briefing, we provide a health and safety overview. This includes any observations made during our own onsite risk assessment and any terms presented by the location manager.

2.0 RISK ASSESSMENT AND HAZARD REDUCTION Members of our team will liaise with the location manager and carry out a risk assessment of the premises. Any risks identified are communicated to guests during the initial briefing. If the location manager provides us with a safety pack or pre-organised risk assessment, we will use this where appropriate. Our activities present a low risk to the team and to members of the public. We do not have any individual risk assessments for our equipment or activities as they are strictly controlled to reduce harm. Any first aid or incidents which cause harm will be communicated to the location manager, following on-site procedures where possible. We conduct our risk assessment systematically and we attempt to consider all of the foreseeable risks which are associated with our activities (for which we are insured) and the location.

These are our working principles:

• Hazard: Anything with the potential to cause harm, uneven flooring, electricity, hazardous substances and noise are examples of typical hazards.

• Risk: The likelihood that damage, loss or injury will be caused by a hazard and how severe the outcome may be. We follow Health and Safety Executive recommendations and adopt an approach in five steps:

• Identify the hazards associated with on-site activities;

• Identify who could be harmed by those hazards;

• Identify how we manage the risks at present and what further steps might be required to reduce the risks further. These are our control measures;

• Record the findings of our assessment (and) inform those at risk of the controls during the initial briefing;

• Review the risk assessment on a regular basis, e.g. if the staff, the activity, or the equipment used change.
