Event description

Description

Tuesday 12 March

4.30-6.15pm

National Museum of Scotland (Edinburgh)

Refreshments provided

Between Dec 2019-April 2020, the exhibition Parasites: Battle for Survival will be open at the National Museum of Scotland. The exhibition will explore the fight to eradicate five neglected tropical diseases and the role of research taking place in Scotland to do this. It is aimed at secondary school pupils and two schools have been involved in its development.

We’d like to invite Secondary teachers along to this session where we’ll share information about the exhibition’s content and ask for your ideas on programming you’d like to see alongside it. The focus of the session will be biology, but we are keen to highlight cross-curricular learning including STEM, modern languages (Spanish), geography, modern studies and careers pathways. Therefore we would welcome input from teachers across a range of subjects, including biology.

This event is open to secondary teachers in Scotland. Refreshments provided.
