Description

A Parent/Carer Awareness Session has been organised to help parents understand some of the risks posed to young people from gangs, drugs and alcohol. It will provide practical advice on how to spot the early signs of drug use, gang involvement and more.

The session is taking place at Brentwood County High School on Tuesday 28th November from 6-8pm and there will be two guest speakers.

The first speaker is Lindsey Smith who has 25 years’ experience of working in the field of drugs and alcohol as a front-line worker, consultant and trainer. Lindsey will be able to give expert advice about the issues and the risks young people have around drugs and alcohol.

The second talk will be from Gavin McKenna who is the director of Reach Every Generation, an Essex-based organisation working with young people. Gavin talks about his life experiences to deter young people from crime and the gang lifestyle.
