As part of the Parent Empowerment Project, these monthly drop-in sessions offer a chance to meet an advocate from Social Inclusion Recovery Group (SIRG) for support in navigating your child’s education journey.
Support includes:
- school applications, admissions, and exclusions,
- SEN provision and referrals,
- appeals and complaints processes,
- signposting to Family Hub and wider borough services,
- raising awareness of the support available to Global Majority families.

Parent Empowerment Project events are designed to:
- increase confidence among parents to challenge unfair education practices,
- improve access to Family Hub and borough-wide services for Global Majority families,
- strengthen networks between statutory services and parents,
- reduce barriers for parents navigating admissions, exclusions, and SEN provision.
