Yes, parents living in City & Hackney with children in nursery, primary school, and secondary school are welcome to attend this course to support their wellbeing .

Who is this course for?

This course is for any parents who feel stressed, worried, anxious or overwhelmed by their current life circumstances and would like to cultivate a sense of calm and peace in themselves to better support their children and family.

Do I or my child need to have mental health needs or be known to CAMHS to attend this course?

No, not necessarily. This is a universal course that supports parents to nurture their sense of wellbeing by learning mindfulness and compassion practices. All parents are welcome, especially those with children with SEND and/or mental health needs.

Do I need to attend every session of the 6 week course?

it is recommended to attend every session if possible, as each session builds on the previous session and there are different activities to experience in each session.

What does this course involve?

This course involves learning mindfulness and self-compassion techniques to help manage emotional regulation and attention, and to develop a self-care routine.
