Parental Substance Use and the Impact on Children (full day workshop)

Please note this workshop will cost £60 for private and profit making services. It is free to statutory and voluntary sector agencies.

This full-day workshop, delivered by practitioners from Tuning Point, will explore parental substance use and what this means. It is focused how to identify hidden harm/ risks/ working with parents who are using drugs or alcohol.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify the different types of drugs and their effects
  • Identify impacts of parental use on children across range of areas
  • Developing and understand the assessment framework
  • Identify sources of further support for parents and professionals working with them
  • Stronger understanding of how drugs and alcohol can affect parenting
