Welcome to the NoRM (Network of Revitalisation Ministries) Webinar on raising children to love the Lord in a revitalisation parish. This webinar is for all involved in revitalisation ministry who are parents, are wannabe parents or advise or support Christian parents in such a situation. If that's you, you don't need me to tell you how hard a call this is!
Paul Darlington has been vicar of Holy Trinity Oswestry since 2005, which was very much a revitalistion project when he arrived. Paul is married to Gill and they have four daughters: Anna, Beth, Charlotte and Emily. He grew up near Wolverhampton and spent 11 years in London before serving in a parish church in Blackpool for 5 years. He is thankful for the serious promises he has made which help to keep him focused on what a vicar should be doing. Otherwise he might only ever play cricket, read books and eat steak.
But the REALLY good news is that Gill will be joining him to help us think through the joys and challenges, not only of parenting; not only of parenting FOUR girls; but in a turnaround parish! I know!
Paul will take us to the Bible, then he and Gill will talk to us about parenting. We will then put your questions and comments to them, before we separate into location-based Breakout Rooms for 15 minutes to chat and pray for each other.
These webinars have been going bi-monthly for just over 4 years and we have now covered all the topics we've been asked, so this will be the final regular one, for now at least. It starts at 1pm (doors open 12:55) and finishes at 2:30pm.
