It can be the most heartbreaking feeling when our childs behaviour is judged by others who dont understand. It can be very lonely and painful too when we are the one who is always on the receiving end of the physical and verbal response.
Tara Keirens is a parent carer who is passionate about developing the understanding of others, strengthening parent carers skills and the confidence to "parent". She will be with us to give us a safe space for discussion of these difficult issues and build strategies together to help us.
Pinpoint are the OFFICIAL Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire providing help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.
Pinpoint have a dedicated part time staff team of SEND parent carers offering signposting and events for all things SEND and opportunities for parents to have a say and get involved in improving local services.
No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.
You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!
Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions - You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
