Peaceful Parenting Workshop

About this Event

Do you want to learn how to:

- Emotionally coach your children through their big feelings

- Reframe how you are currently looking at your children so you can deepen your connection and have more peace, calm and harmony in your family

- Be the parent your child needs you to be

- Navigate through emotional outbursts/tantrums with more ease

- Talk to children so they will listen and listen so children will talk

- Gain more peaceful co-operation with your children and end those power struggles

Then this workshop may be right for you.

Parenting is tough. None of us are born knowing how to parent and were all learning as we go along, often using our own parents as our model of how to/or how not to parent!

The struggle is REAL - however I believe we can minimize the parenting struggles we face by understanding ourselves more, really emotionally attuning to the child we have been given (not the child we fantasised about having) and striving to deepen our connections and allow our children to be our greatest teachers.

During this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to be your child's emotional coach, how to change the way you view/label your children and how to have more peace, calm and harmony in your parenting by adopting greater communication skills which can transform your relationships.

Set in the stylish Malmaison Hotel on Newcastle Quayside, take a few hours to connect with like minded mums, have the opportunity to discuss any parenting struggles and to enjoy tea, coffee (soft beverages) and sweet treats which is included in the ticket price.

A Bit About Me

Leaving my corporate job to become a stay at home mum I was intuitively guided to the world of 'conscious parenting'. Giving birth to my first daughter in 2015 I just knew I wanted to parent differently and wanted my children to be 'seen, heard, unconditionally loved, respected and connected' opposed to the traditional way of parenting which involves enforcing strict rules, regulations and the 'power over approach'.

I believe we are all equals and we can learn to step in our children's shoes and ask:

"When I'm having a meltdown, what do I need?" And if the answer isn't timeouts, threats, punishments, being shouted at. Then the same goes for your child when they are having a meltdown.

The best investment I made was qualifying as a Parenting Coach through the Jai Institute for Parenting. Seeing the transformation in my own parenting has only made me more passionate about helping other parents.
