Parents Apart -coparenting through separation
Overview
Separation can be a challenging time for families, and children often experience uncertainty, worry, or loyalty conflicts as parents adjust to living apart.
Parents Apart is a supportive, practical 3-hour online workshop designed to help parents navigate separation in a child-centred way. The focus is on reducing conflict, improving communication, and supporting children’s emotional wellbeing — whatever the circumstances.
The workshop is suitable for parents who are separated, separating, or considering separation, including parents of neurotypical and neurodivergent children. Co-parents attend separate sessions, creating a safe, neutral, and non-judgemental learning environment.
What to expect if you attend
- A confidential online session facilitated by experienced counsellors and mediators
- Clear, accessible guidance on children’s emotional responses to separation
- Practical strategies for calmer communication with your co-parent
- Support with routines, contact planning, and transitions between two homes
- Inclusive approaches that consider sensory needs and neurodiversity
- Short activities, optional discussion, and take-home tools you can use straight away
Participants leave with a personal parenting action plan, practical scripts for talking to children, and clear next steps for moving forward.
The workshop is delivered online and is available to parents across the UK.
