Event description

Description

Every Saturday at 9am hundreds of people from the local area walk, run or jog 5km around Woodhouse Moor (also known as Hyde Park) – all for free thanks to volunteers.

On Saturday 27 July University of Leeds will support this event by taking over all of the volunteer roles, including marshals, timers, barcode scanners and more. Event volunteering is a great opportunity to try something new, meet new people and play a vital role in creating a successful community event.

Meet our friendly Global Community Assistants wearing purple t-shirts at 8.15am at Woodhouse Moor, on the corner where Moorland Road and Clarendon road intersect.

There are 20 spaces available. Please only book a space if you are sure you can attend. If your availability changes after you have booked, let us know as soon as possible by emailing globalcommunity@leeds.ac.uk

If you have any questions or access needs, please contact globalcommunity@leeds.ac.uk

Would you rather walk, jog or run the 5km distance? Instead of volunteering, you can register with Park Run for free to take part in this weekly event which begins at 9am every Saturday.
