Event details

This event, as well as future activities hosted by PDSPN, is dedicated to improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease, by enabling and inspiring pharmacy teams to play an active role in the management of Parkinson’s disease across all clinical settings.

Parkinson’s disease is a common but complex neurological disorder that demands high quality patient-centred care, and its therapeutic goals continue to expose significant challenges to health professionals involved in the safe prescribing, supply and administration of medicines.

Learning and further development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to engage with this evolving field of clinical practice and research, will be accomplished through a series of informative talks delivered by highly specialist pharmacists. These will cover an overview of Parkinson’s disease and an expert review on topics such as advanced therapies, palliative care and medicines-use reviews. Understanding the personal experiences of a patient living with Parkinson’s is anticipated to be one of many positive highlights of the conference.

Delegates will have the opportunity to network with fellow pharmacy professionals, members of the PDSPN committee and Parkinson’s UK in an environment that supports the sharing of knowledge and ideas for local service improvement, as well as encouraging reflection and continued professional development.

We hope you will join us and many other delegates to celebrate the first ever event designed to help meet the shared learning and development needs of pharmacy teams, and inspire you to succeed in providing value and excellent pharmaceutical care to patients living with this complex condition.
