Parkinson's UK Research Funding Roadshow: Glasgow
Event Information
Description
Join us to hear about our new Parkinson's research strategy and the Parkinson's research funding streams available to academics.
Our Deputy Director of Research, Professor David Dexter, will be facilitating 3 workshops in Scotland providing guidance about our grant application process; common pitfalls that cause applications to fail; and tips on what will help an application to succeed.
Before joining Parkinson's UK, David was Professor of Neuropharmacology at Imperial College, where one of his roles was Scientific Director at the Parkinson’s UK Brain Bank, the UK's largest supplier of brain tissue for research dedicated to Parkinson's. He has been helping to lead the charity's research programme since 2017.
Refreshments will be provided from 1.30pm. The venue is easily accessible from Buchanan bus station and a 15-minute walk from Glasgow Queen Street station. There is a public car park nearby at the Royal Concert Hall (entrance via Cowcaddens Road).
