Designing public spaces for events or events for public spaces?
4pm, May 3rd 2013
Speakers: Ian Hingley, Landscape Architect; Urban Movement & John Roseveare, Director; Parose Projects
From Grayson Perry in London's Victoria, to beach volleyball in Southampton's Wyndham Place, arts and entertainment are increasingly being seen as vital components of properly functioning public realm. With local authority outdoor events budgets squeezed hard, how can mixed delivery teams best design spaces for events, and how can we best encourage low-cost, locally inspired events for spaces.
What are Parose Hub & Pub sessions?
Starting in 2012 Parse began hosting these session on Friday afternoons at 4pm in our home at HubWestminster, aiming to ‘hack’ around current topics with brief, entertaining but thought provoking speakers and an active, vocal audience. Then go to the pub.
