What time should I arrive?

Please arrive between 6.30 and 7pm and meet the team and other workshop participants. The workshop itself will be between  7 and 8.15pm and we will then have time for networking until the event finishes at 9pm.

Do I need to bring along an image of something I find a Built Barrier to the workshop?

Accepted Answer

Yes please! We want to extend our Part W library of built barriers and we will use the images and barriers we have already had submitted in the workshop.  Please bring an image/barrier along with you if you can to add to the discussion.

What is a built barrier?

Accepted Answer

In the context of Part W's campaign, a "built barrier" refers to a feature or element in the built environment that creates an obstacle or impediment for certain individuals, particularly women, affecting their safety, accessibility, and comfort.

Can I support Part W even if I can't attend the event?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — we welcome donations from individuals and practices who want to champion this cause, even if they can't be there on the day.

Will you be having any online events for those that can't make it to an evening event in London?

Why are there different priced tickets?

We want to make this event is inclusive and affordable, while also creating an opportunity for people and practices to support our campaign work through voluntary donations and different levels of ticket pricing.

Is the venue accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the venue is accessible via a shallow ramped bridge to the raised ground floor of the building where the workshop will take place.  There is an accessible WC nearby.   If you have any questions about accessibility or want us to plan for any specific access needs please get in touch.
