Particle physics and CERN; training for teachers

By School of Physics and Astronomy

Overview

This event is for Scottish High School teachers and will delivered in-person by the Head of trainings at the CERN Science Gateway

We are delighted to welcome Dr Anastasia Tezari, deputy Head of Education at CERN Science Gateway, the new science centre at CERN, opened in 2023.

She will provide trainings for high school teachers on how to engage pupils with CERN work effectively, how to use CERN's online resources with your teaching, and explain what support mechanisms are available for your classes to engage with CERN (and maybe even visit it).

Anastasia routinely gives trainings to educators across Europe, and we are very excited to give you the chance to meet her while on her Edinburgh visit.

We will also provide refreshments.

There are a number of buses available at walking distance from our campus, and you are also able to park near the venue.
